  • Spring 2018 - Summer 2018

Hyung Seung Ko holds LL.M. and J.D. degrees from City University of Hong Kong. She received a first degree in law from Ewha Womans University. She worked as a freelance translator, translating social science journals and legal documents from English to Korean. She also worked as a legal research intern at DeHeng Law Office in China. She has a strong interest in human rights and North Korea issues, especially refugees and rules and legal frameworks on these issues. She strongly agrees with HRNK’s vision that NGOs can play an important role in developing and securing international support on human rights issues. Through her work at HRNK, she expects to gain a deep understanding of how to improve existing international legal frameworks in relation to refugees, and how these changes can improve the lives of refugees.
