  • Spring 2017 - Summer 2017

Yezi Liu is a rising junior at Mount Holyoke College, double majoring in East Asian Studies and Economics. Since she was young, she has heard stories about the North Korean people from her grandfather, who had fought in the Korean War. After leaving mainland China to further pursue her studies in Singapore and the United States, her understanding of human rights and their abuses deepened. She is grateful for the opportunity to intern at HRNK, and wants to contribute to the investigation of human rights issues in North Korea and help push the organization’s goals in the international community during her internship here.
