Mathew Ha is a first year MA candidate in the Asian Studies program at Georgetown University’s Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service. He holds a BA in World Politics from Hamilton College. His interest in North Korea encompasses both regional security and human rights issues. His undergraduate thesis research focused on external and internal variables shaping North Korean security and foreign policy. After graduating from Hamilton College, he interned for the organization Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), where he gained experience in mobilizing grassroots communities on North Korean human rights challenges through fundraising and educational awareness campaigns. At HRNK, he looks forward to gaining primary insights regarding how North Korea’s human rights issues and the increasing flow of information will affect Asia’s geopolitical environment and U.S. engagement strategy for the upcoming administration

Internship Application

Successful applicants will undergo a formal interview process before being offered an internship. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend that applicants apply at least 3 months prior to their anticipated start date. Internships are typically unpaid, but academic credit is honored. A minimum commitment of 20 working hours per week is preferred. Please upload your documents in the .doc format.
